Bill 218: The Prompt Payments in the Construction Industry Act
A new Bill has been introduced by Reg Helwer, MLA from Brandon West, alongside the Manitoba Prompt Payment Coalition. It has passed the second reading and will now proceed to the next stage of approvals.
Manitoba is now the second province to come forward and introduce a form of prompt payment legislation.

Please join us on September 20th for an informative presentation on Indigenous Reconciliation with Allan Sutherland of the Treaty Relations Commission Speakers Bureau. Allen Sutherland is currently the Indigenous Relations Officer of Parks Canada – Lower Fort Garry, National Historical Site of Treaty One. Mr. Sutherland assists Parks Canada Agency in building and maintaining formal relations with the local First Nations that are in the Treaty One traditional
territory and providing Treaty education.
